Walgreens Orange Tags - 3/28/2015

Hello,

I was at my local Walgreens store this evening.  I saw some orange tags for discounts.  I found two seven ounce frozen buffalo chicken sandwiches for 49 cents each.  Those were the last 2 in the freezer section.  The regular price for them is $2.79 each.  That's an 82% savings!

I like going to Walgreens early in the morning or late at night for the best deals.  That's it for this post.  Until my next post, have a great day.

Dairy Queen 75th Anniversary Free Cone Day - 3/16/2015

Hello.  Today is Dairy Queen's 75th Anniversary.  So to celebrate, they are having a free cone day.  One free soft serve cone per person.  I went to the Colorado Springs location on N. Academy near Flintridge.  It was packed with preschoolers from the local preschool.  #CheapersCreepers.

I went to the local King Soopers and bought a small tub of french onion sour cream dip for 25 cents that has a best by date of 3/23/15.  I bought $1 bag of chips and that's appetizers for the week.  That's all for now.  Until my next post, have a great day.

5 Cent Milk - 3/15/2015

Hello.  I went to King Soopers in Colorado Springs, CO today. I went to the Manager's Special section of the dairy aisle.  I saw this 10 oz. milk for 5 cents.  The best buy date was today.  2 oz for 1 penny.  How about that?  Here is a picture of it.

That's it for this post.  Until next post, happy bargain hunting.

McDouble Or Microwave Cheeseburger - 3/4/2015

Hello.  This is the first post of my newest blog "The Squealing Penny".  I named it this due to an interaction I observed at work.  A printer technician told my co-worker this: "Do you why your company got to where it is today?" My co-worker said, "I don't know".  The technician said, "Your company pinched a penny so tightly, it squealed".  This was over 10 years ago.

I went into my local McDonald's for a McDouble burger and saw it was $1.39 plus tax.  I call that my "Price Out" point. That's the set price that I can no longer afford.  I can go over to the Walgreens and get a microwave cheeseburger for $1.29 and pay no tax.  The savings is $0.21.

That's all for now. Stretch that dollar like it's rubber.
